| I joined the Dashing Whippets Running Club, and this was my first workout with the group. 8x400m uphill at 6:45-7:00 pace (5K pace) in Central Park. Great to meet new runners. I've been running alone for too long!

| Long run at about 8:40 pace. Did the 5 bridges run - Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg, Polaski, and Queensboro. Perfect day for running, and there were tons of runners out doing their 20 mile runs for the NYC marathon. Very festive!

| 7 miles during a treadmill class at Mile High Running Club. Colder, rainy, and windy this morning so thought I would try something new. Lots of intervals--both hills and speed. Will toughen up and run outside next time.

| Long run on Hudson River. Paced a friend at 830 for part of his last long run before the NYC marathon. Delta was out w aid stations set up between TriBeCa and midtown. Good swag!

| 26 mile bike ride. Rode to the botanical gardens to see the chrysanthemum display. Gorgeous! Bike ride was intense. Most of it on streets in Harlem and upper Manhattan and the Bronx. That was a long time to ride in NYC traffic! Legs were still feeling dead. This was their break--no long run!
