| Heck yeah! Best intervals I have had in a while! 6x800 3:03 (oops), 2:57, 2:57, 2:57, 2:54, 2:47 Not bad for super humid. Ran with Micah, Sheryl, new girl Laura, and almost Lauren. Really fun, it felt like we were on a team! |

| No running today, just tennis! I did, however, bake "Jesus cookies", well that's what I was calling them because they were for church. I took an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe and made it a little healthier and changed the chips to butterscotch because that's what I had. They were a hit, although somewhat crumbly off the pan. Once they sat around an hour or two they held together fine. No one missed the butter! This made 27 cookies for me, but was supposed to make 30: [Relatively Healthy] Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies - 1/3 cup applesauce (the recipe called for butter here)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup white whole wheat flour (i only had whole wheat and white, so I did half and half)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 cup quick cooking oats
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips (i did butterscotch)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and sugars with an electric mixer. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Stir flour mixture into sugar mixture until well combined. Stir in oats, then chocolate chips. Spoon dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Back to the thursday night tempo group now that the summer track series is over. Ran 3 mile warm up, 21:48 for the 5k tempo,1 mile cool down. I think this was slower than back in the spring but I have to check. It was super dooper humid, as usual, and muddy, which was kind of fun actually. Not quite able to stay with Lauren, Micah and Sheryl, but close. About 18 seconds slower than the week before my 5k PR. I think I can knock that off while my mileage increases. |

So I am beginning to plan my wedding (crazy!) and I think instead of using real flowers at the reception I am going to make paper flowers. If I can make them look nice. So if anyone has any experience/advice in this area let me know. If I end up doing the paper flower theme, I'm thinking of these centerpieces in colors to match my theme, and I would add a tiny light in each flower to light up the room. And this cake Of course I could alter the flower if someone knows a better way. I would also like to make cloth flowers for the bridesmaids hair if anyone knows how, if not I will purchase them. I like these Just thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone hear specializes in this type of thing :)
