one mile warm up 6X .25 mile hill repeats.  I forgot to change my laps to .25 miles so the splits really mean nothing.  I felt like these were hard but not nearly as hard as the last time I did them.

splits: 8:56,  9:30, 9:44, 10:23, 17:34 (walk home with hubby)

Set out to run 9 miles I could feel that my legs were heavy from the hill repeats yesterday. When I got to the base of my last hill at 3.5 miles, my legs were already tired and I still had the return trip to go.  I decided I was done with hills for the day, turned around and then did the last to on a nice flat treadmill. :)

Splits: 8:50, 8:48, 8:41, 9:19, 9:12, 8:42, 8:43, last two 9:13 0% incline!

Nine miles at marathon pace I tried to keep the splits as even as possible.  I drove out to the Legacy Parkway so that I could avoid the hills. The goal time was 8:34

splits:  8:34, 8:14, 8:25, 8:15, 8:30, 8:28, 8:25, 8:30, 8:28

As you can see all the splits were under the goal time but they were still all over the place.  I also felt drained by the end of the run.  I am sure if I could find that perfect pace and keep with it I could feel better at the end.  Really Andy you must be a human Garmin to keep such even splits.

Now of to watch BYU beat Florida!

Boy was that a great game or what!  I think I need to add a few miles to my log I am sure I ran at least two cheering!

6 miles elliptical, my legs were heavy from the start.  I started at 9% resistance for one mile then switched to 6% for 3 miles last two were at 7%.  Finished in 47 minutes.  This workout is really getting slower and harder as I bump up my Thursday miles.  At first I was having a hard time with it until I told myself that this is a recovery day.  Now I am ok with what ever I do as long at my Saturday run is not affected by what I do on Friday.

Lifted for legs, back and abs

Yoga - we really stretched our hips out it felt so good.

Best long run in a while!  I felt strong at the end, like I could do more.  I am sure there are several reasons for this.  I will list just a few.

Running with Kimmy, Smooth and Maynard .

Smooth's funny stories make the miles fly by.

The course was much flatter.

I didn't kill myself in the gym yesterday.

Maynard gave me a doughnut at mile 14.5 (this is the one of the best reasons!)

Smooth was my pack horse and carried my Gatorade for the last 6 miles.

After the run we met Cougar and BeMO at Ihop for breakfast so much fun again!  I am now more confident about how Boston is going to go. I hope my 20 miler next week goes as well but I am not sure how it can when I am running alone in hilly Bountiful!

Splits: 8:53, 10:15, 9:40, 9:25, 9:16, 9:56, 9:06, 8:52, 8:45, 8:50, 9:46, 9:07, 8:35, 8:50, 9:11, 8:36, 8:30, 8:25, 7:32 (Smooth and I were racing this mile I am not sure she knew that we were racing but she won anyway!)
