No lifting went right to spin.  When I got to class the teacher announced that we were going to do my favorite class.  I lovingly call it the puke class.  It is where you do intervals the whole class starting at a level 8 during the interval and then going to level 6 during the rest after 5 of those you do 5 intervals where the interval is a level 10 and the rest is at level 8.

When she announced that this would be the class I stated having a little conversation in my head between good Kathie and evil Kathie this is how it went

Good: you should go right now this is not a good class to do so close to Boston.

Evil: you only ran four miles today this class will give you little speed work out no big deal.

Good: If you want to feel fresh in Boston you should go.

Evil: Your legs are so fresh you could really rock this class!  You still have 5 days before Boston your legs can recover in 5 days.

Evil Kathie won and I stayed in class.  After the first set of 10/8 intervals I wanted to puke evil Kathie said "cool" Good Kathie said "leave" and this time I listened to good Kathie. I was 30 minutes into class.  It really was so hard to leave I was doing so good on my intervals!

You are SOOO FUNNY, both of you! Hahaha!

Glad the good Kathie won! Actually it's a good compromise, you still got 30 min. of puke intervals to get that speed demon out. I am certain your legs will be fresh and strong in 5 days! I'm hoping the same for me! Can't wait to see you.

I love the narative. And I'm glad Good Kathie showed up to save the day even though she was a little late.

I get the feeling that evil Kathie wins most of the battles with good Kathie. Smart move to leave the class early.

For some reason I picture a little Kathie devil on one shoulder, and an angelic Kathie on the other--and you in the middle looking back and forth!!! You crack me up! Smart move to leave early -- isn't level 10 when you have to stand up and push/pull with your feet just to get the pedals moving? Very wise that you walked out -- I hope you explained to the teacher that you were running Boston on Monday. :)

Hope you have a great time in Boston. Have a safe trip and an excellent race. Can't wait to hear about the experience.
