My legs were so dead last night I couldn't sleep because of the pain.  I laid in bed, tossed and turned for about two hours.  They didn't hurt a lot just felt like they had really been work yesterday.  When I woke up they felt better but I decided not to do my normal routine today.  Normally I would run 3 easy miles, lift for abs and then spin.  Instead I went on the rickety old basement treadmill and walked at 1% incline for 5 miles.  My legs feel much better.  I will do abs tonight with my push-ups and hopefully kick butt tomorrow on the elliptical.

Doh. Dead legs strike again. You did what I think is best for your legs. A nice good walk always helps me out too. Good luck with push-ups tonight.

Great job, Kathie. Sounds like most of us are having the same symptoms this week. Maybe it's because we're at the half way point in our training for marathons and half marathons.

Guess I shouldn't complain about my tired legs...at least I could sleep last night. But then I was dreaming that I was running all night, maybe that's not much better. You deserve a rest day, you're workouts have been killer.

Sure sounds like a nice easy rest day was well deserved. You've been training so hard lately. Sound like more than tired legs if you they caused you not to be able to sleep. Maybe a nice easy week should be mixed in soon.

I hate dead legs day. I have to remind myself that they are actually getting stronger and will be fabulous for the next workout.
