Suicidal tendencies for my last run in Saint George for a while. Got it a little later than I was hoping so it was pretty toasty.

AM- 10.42 total (WU, 2 mi tempo, CD). The workout was supposed to be 4-6 mi tempo. Most of the guys ended up doing 4, and only Max M. and Britain went 5. I got a random side ache about 200m into the tempo and figured I could work through it. It wasn't going away and was getting worse the farther I went, so I cut it short at 2 miles. I was pretty bummed because I had a great tempo a couple weeks back, and was I excited to do it again with the whole team this time. I never really get side aches, so I think it might've been a little bit of dehydration/lack of fueling. Rest of the run was good.

PM- 3.77 mi double in the afternoon.

The plan was to drive to Jeremy Ranch in the morning, but it had rained all night and was supposed to rain all day, so the coaches wanted to stay closer to camp. We found a window in the afternoon when it wasn't raining too much and ran around Coalville. 10.14 easy, no double because lots of rain.

AM- Not really AM actually. Coach cancelled the morning run so we could sleep in before heading back from camp. I did an easy 8.44 when we got back around noon.

PM- Easy 3.1 on the treadmill

AM- 11.83 total (WU, 8x400m @ 8k pace w/200m float recovery, 5x200m finishes, CD). 400s were all around 70 seconds, and the floats were all 38-40 seconds. Solid workout. Total time for the 3 miles (4800m) was 14:46.

PM- 3.72 easy on the treadmill

AM- 16.16 at Deer Creek with some of the team. My right achilles started bothering me a few miles in and progressively got worse. We cut back early to drop off some of the guys that were going shorter, so I changed shoes when we got back to see if that would help. It didn't help much, and I think it's just really tight from spiking up yesterday for some 200m finishes.

PM- Easy 3.73 with Troy. Achilles was bugging a little but not as bad as it was at the end of the run this morning.

AM- First official day of team practice and first day of the semester! Easy 10.05 up Provo Canyon. Achilles pain was probably a 1/10 at the start by progressed to a 7/10 at the end of the run. Also had some weird hamstring tightness on the way down the canyon. No double today just to make sure I'm not overdoing it.

AM- 10.1 total (WU, 8x1000m w/2:30 active rest, CD). Woke up with the same achilles/hamstring pain I had yesterday and some more random tightness, this time on the outside of the same hamstring. I heated my hamstring and achilles in the training room and it seemed to help a little bit. Also, my hamstring doesn't really bother me when I run, mostly just when I walk or go downhill (aka when the knee is fully extended). Very minimal pain for the whole workout. I spiked up for the last few which probably wasn't the best idea and may have aggravated the achilles a little more. Still didn't bother me too much until about halfway through the cool down. Did some cupping on my hamstring after and E-Stim on the achilles.

PM- 3.72 easy on the treadmill. Both spots still seem pretty tight and hurt to roll out, but neither really bothered me during the run.
