I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

Lunch- mid-70's today but very humid. 14 people showed up, though the teams were not evenly split (I'd say the other team had 1.5 more fast guys, and then the other team had their slowest player get injured and leave, so we had to start subbing out people, which really skewed it when one of our few fast guys were out). I would have been surprised if we won.

I played really well, though- my throws were generally on-target, including a bunch of long ones early, I had some good catches with no drops (several ankle height catches), and good defense. Game was tied 1-1 before the other team scored 3 straight. My team scored 2 more to make it a bit competitive before losing 3-5. We just didn't have the speed so there were some big mismatches. I was able to trash talk Dennis, who I covered all day, as I scored several and he never did, plus I caught a long bomb over him with some great boxout technique. Plus when I was subbed out, Dennis absolutely rocked my team (at one point intercepting 3 passes on the same point), but I shut him down when I returned. He and I have a friendly rivalry going for a while now- I won the individual battle today, but his team won the game.

Fun day.

Sounds fun. Ready for the rain and wind? Expecting any issues in your area?

Hard to say how bad it will be here. Some wind and rain, for sure. Right now it seems to be curving a bit further north. We'll see what happens, how much damage there is, especially if it stalls and just dumps rain like Harvey did

Stay safe.
