Personal:

I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

just watched olympics marathon, now going to work out. I knew Connor Mantz when he was a pre-teen in Logan. He was amazing even then (not faster than me at the time, but he was 12)

Finally got a quick workout at the gym before it closed. It's been a super busy few weeks- I generally leave to teach seminary at 6:15 am, go right to work, and have not been finishing work till 5 pm or later. Then it's XC practice from 6 till 8:30 pm. Then home, prepare for next XC practice and seminary lesson, spend a few minutes with kids. Work has been very, very busy, too, so don't have any free time.

decided to play frisbee. 5v5, my team had sub. We trailed 4-6 but had 3 point comeback for 7-6 victory. I played well, especially considering I haven't played in a while- no drops, I don't think I threw any bad passes.

Just like last time I played frisbee, my left foot hurts on top afterwards. No workout today. I did go to the location of the XC race I host to make sure the route is still good and try to modify the start/finish location, which were not ideal. However, I found there's construction of a huge building at the 1/2 mile mark so that portion of trail is completely gone. I'll need a major re-route now. This is going to take extra time I was not planning on, but at least I have 3.5 weeks till the race.

Another week of minimal time to workout. Leave for seminary 6:15 am, straight to work. Normally I can find 1-2 hours at work or during lunch to get in a workout, but we've been swamped lately so that's not happening. Then home and straight to cross country practice. I run when I can with the team, but we're usually doing activities that require me to be with some of the kids, not running myself. Home at 8:30 pm. Then eat dinner, spend a few minutes with my kids and wife, plan seminary and cross country lessons for the next day, and get a very late bed time.

finally made it to gym, elliptical and lifting.

my high school runner has shin splints. They've been getting worse for several weeks but she's been afraid to tell her coach. I guess she's learning a lesson as now she'll have to not run for a bit
