Running Accomplishments:

I've been running since junior high. Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work out 30 minutes a day, six days a week

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and consistent.

Married with 3 children. Work as a school counselor.

Hillcrest neighborhoods - 40:16

Slow pace on a hot, windy day. Average pace of 8:03/mile. Felt horrible.

Treadmill+ - 48:45

10 minutes on the canals to pick blackberries, then 38 minutes later on the treadmill at the gym. Started at a shuffle, then progressed to threshold pace (roughly) by the end.

Also did 15 minutes of stretching and core work, plus some pushups and a few sets of the chest press machine.

South Cole Canal Banks - 23+

Really hot afternoon run from work before driving to Twin Falls. "Short run is better than nothing" type of day today.

Rock Creek Park - 56:04

First 4 miles with Emily (10:30, 10:32, 10:30, 10:33) then ran home 2+ miles at about 6:55/mile pace with a couple of pickups. Hadn't been on that stretch of the trail for years...does not compare well with the Boise Greenbelt, but it's about the best close by in Twin Falls.
