I was planning on getting up early to get 10 miles in today but I could not go to sleep last night.  I finally fell asleep around 2 am and when my alarm went off at 5:30 I went back to sleep.  I headed out tonight at 6:30  and the temp was 90 degrees, not sure on the humidity but it was high and 20 mile an hour winds - quite the combination.  I was going to try to replicate the hill work out the BBK's were planning on but it is flat, flat, flat - not a hill in sight.    So I opted for heat training.  I felt really good until mile 5 and I got tired really fast.  I did not carry water or gatorade so I convinced myself to get in one more mile and then I could walk on the beach.  SOOO worth it.  I ended up walking for about 1 mile on the beach back up to the hotel and it was a beautiful evening and sunset.

Ouch that heat and humidity sounds awful! But the beach reward is worth it. Great job on your run!! Great pace too for that heat!

I was wondering where you'd been! I guess I should check the blog more often..lol! Glad you're having a good time in FL and enjoying the beach; PLUS you're getting great mileage in as well. Enjoy the flat while you can!
