AM - 13 miles. LT Reps: 5 x 2000m (400m) in 6:22.2 avg. HHS track. Very tight splits. Another extension from last week - a little longer and faster. Target was 6:24.

An unseasonably humid (very relative term, this is SLC after all), rainy morning - which felt great! Lots of activity at the track - at least 20 people there before 6am running intervals.

PM - 8 miles.

Nice Jake. Do you know who or what group was at the track? My buddy told me that a good sized group goes there every Tuesday morning. He thought maybe it was a tri club.

James - I'm not sure who the group was. But they were great about staying out of lane one. And it was definitely some type of coherent group, as they were all doing the same thing and had a coach/leader/dictator.

Nice workout Jake. That group runs every Tuesday starting at 5:50 and they switch it up between East and Highland tracks and hill work. John Straley is the organizer and the only person I know who runs with them is Chad Derum. John Steffen used to be a regular but he moved out of the state. If you want to be included in their email list let me know and I can give you John's address.

I don't think my workouts will overlap w/ theirs very often :-)

Comments are all out of order so I'll just add that I am replying to Fritz at 8:48pm in Istanbul's time zone.

Quite a morning session! Nice.

Nice, Jake. This smells like momentum is building. It’s either that, or cinnamon rolls. Mmmm. Cinnamon rolls.

From Jake K on Tue, Jul 29, 2014 at 09:20:13 from 199.190.170.24

Cinnamon rolls are too paleo.

Momentum is definitely building... I'm being cautious about not pushing the workouts too hard. Just hitting my targets and stopping with more in the tank. It's going to take a while, but I'm pleased with the progress I'm making.

Ah, I see what you're doing there...1000, 1500, 2000. If my math is correct, the next session should be 3476.5m repeats. You might run out of spray paint.

Great progress, keep it up!

You cracked the DaVinci code! Next week I'll probably jump to 3000s because 2400s are your proprietary workout distance.

Thank you for not calling it 1.5 miles.
