PM - 6 miles w/ Andrea. Started at Stinson Beach and ran up the Dipsea / Steep Ravine trails, then down on the Matt Davis trail. There must be hundreds of miles of trails around Mt Tam, and they are all challenging! The last mile of this run dropped 1200'... it took me 18 minutes!

Lots of scenic leisure walking today... Muir Beach, Stinson Beach, Muir Woods*, Sausalito, Baker Beach.

*Muir Woods is cool if you get the chance to visit... but the Redwood parks in the South Bay are just as good, and have a fraction of the people.

Another trip! Do you two even have jobs at this point?

That is a really cool looking trail. Looks like one little slip, and....

I still managed to work 40 hours in the 3 days between Canada and SF. Work hard, vacation a lot is our theme for July. One more trip this weekend (yep, another one) and then I'm (hopefully) done with airplanes until the holidays.

You would definitely not want to fall in spots. Check out the Dipsea race... there can be carnage there. I don't know how people run fast down some of this stuff (hence the 18 minute downhill mile!). But I never fell.

That Dipsea Trail sign is killing me for nostalgia.

If you are still in the area and have any time, the Anderson Valley on the southern side of Mendocino County, inland along Hwy 128 is incredible redwoods and wine tasting that is close to free.

A lot of history on the trails. Those steps!! I had heard about it, but you sort of need to see it to believe it. Cool area.

We're home now... well, I am... Andrea is somewhere over the Pacific on her way to China. That's a good tip for next time. We have friends (free lodging!) in SF and its a short flight from SLC. I'd like to get back up to wine country when we are in CA again.
