AM - 15 miles. Fritz and I drove down to Lehi to meet Matt, Mike, Scott, Zak, and Reed for the run. We did 15 on the Murdock Canal path with an 8 mile AT Tempo (44:23, 5:33/mi avg) in the middle. Chilly wind, icy in a few spots, but overall better than we probably thought it was going to be this morning. Typical winter running conditions and good fun! Afterwards we had a contest to see who could peel hard-boiled eggs the fastest. I think we all lost.

Matt's wife took this photo of the group before we headed home.

i was hoping there would be eggs in the photo. the trick is to peel them under water.

it looks like you are wearing james' pants!

Haha that's exactly what I thought about Jake's pants when he got home!

I got taller. I'm up to 6'4", 225. Getting ready for crossfit games this summer.

Thanks for the lift. I think I took last place for both speed and completeness. I will take note of the cold water trick.

Just eat 'em whole in the future. The shells are pure fiber.

Great workout, and always better with friends in this weather!

Nice workout Jake. Sounds like a great crew. Although you've take a very conservative approach lately your solid fitness is showing in these workouts. I bet you run a solid time in Houston.

I was out of the gates hot in January last year... then ended up toiling in no-man's land for the middle part of the year. If I was hammering now, being only 4 weeks out from CIM, I'm afraid I'd repeat that. I like the idea of a more progressive build, slower but steadier, cycle to cycle. That will get me to where I want to be in May/June... with some solid intermediate results along the way.

My goal for Houston is to not embarrass myself :-)

When I told Andrea that I just wrote down that my goal for Houston was to "not embarrass myself" her response was "that's gonna be hard!"

That is the worst food product I've ever seen. Sorry Mountain Dew.
