Great time running the inaugural N.U.T.S. (Northern Utah Trail Series) Trail 1/2 Marathon. Before the start we had a bit of rain. I saw some friends, Ryan and Lindsey Lauck and Jim Skaggs. I told Cody Draper, the eventual winner, that Jon Allen said to tell him that I would be his pacer today and to line up in front of him at the start, but then I took my normal place at the back of the pack. Perfect weather for running. While on the trail I met more great running friends. The trail had a lot more elevation than I had anticipated, but the last few miles to the finish were all downhill, so that was appreciated. There were still four runners on the trail behind me when I finished, but after I came through the timing crew took down their gear, so I don't know if I will be shown as the last finisher. Great event, nicely organized.

Sounds like an awesome run. I haven't heard of that one. I'll have to look into that series next year.

Great to meet you Jim. I enjoyed the course too, and was also surprised by all the hills. Great job
