Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

No run, very sore from the race.  My right hand is very sore from my fall yesterday, last two fingers are strained and are turning purple (bruised pretty badly).

Still sore and recovering.  Hand is better but still hurts.  Glutes and quads are still thrashed.  Stretching and rolling this morning after sleeping in a bit.  Maybe a run at lunch depending on work.

5.25 slow miles at lunch in a light rain and cool temps.  Everything still hurts...quads, right knee, left foot, hamstrings.  (Mirage Red)

Another recovery morning.  Stretching and rolling is helping a lot with the soreness.  Plus, I just did not want to run in the cold weather.  I will try later today depending on schedule.

5 easy miles on a beautiful day.  Feeling much better (except my hand).  I did have a sharp tweak in my left ankle that cause me to stop running or walking.  Shook it out and it went away for most of the rest of the run. (Mirage Red)

7am...7 untimed easy miles with Moxie along Sunnyside on a chilly morning.  Heading back out soon with Justin.

5.15 miles with Justin from home to Community Park and a few laps then back.  Just chatted, talked running and his team and had good dad/son time. (Ride 3 2015)
