Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

I am taking the day off.  I feel totally wasted, everything in my body hurts and I have no energy at all.   I feel worse today than after most marathons.  Ugh.

I still feel like crap, even taking the day off from work just to rest and try to recover.

Happy birthday to my daughter who turns 11 today!  Man, between her birthday and how I feel physically, makes me realize I am old.

4:45am...4 slow miles with Moxie on a nice morning for a run.  Hips, glutes and lower back still tight, this morning was to get Moxie out, not for me.  (Mirage)

I slept in and didn't get out the door until about 5:30am.  7 miles solo through SRL and back.  Stopped by home and picked up Moxie for a 4 mile run.   A total of 11 miles in an easy 1:26.  Right hip still sore, getting a massage later today.  (Boost)

Took the kids to the club to spend some time in the pool.  Afterwards had my massage (which hurt like @!#& but really helped my hip, glutes and hammy issues).  I then ran home nice and easy on a hot afternoon...3 miles in 22 minutes.  (Vibram)

Got out the door at 4:45am.  Ran a total of 11 miles in 1:20:30, some solo and some with Curt, Craig, Lynette and Andrea.  I had to be home early to get my daughter to her swim meet.  So proud of her, she took 1st, 3rd, 1st and 3rd in her events!  (Mirage)
