| I slept in and went to the gym with Justin and Kami. Justin and I did a hill workout today, wu, 2.0 - 5.0% incline intervals. He did awesome and ran very strong (in fact gym friend came up and said "Is that your son, he is quite a runner!"). 8 miles total in 50:35 (6:19 average). (Boost)

My father in-law had a heart attack this morning. Thanks to God that he at our house, since we are traveling he was in Idaho Falls instead of their small town and he received quick and effective medical care and is doing well. Praise God for his timing in this situation.

| No run today. Slept in because I was tired and took the day off from work (mostly) to help deal with my father in-law...getting him home from the hospital, getting meds, etc.
I was going to go out this afternoon on a very nice day but instead ended up going to the community care to diagnosis my own issue...Shingles! When it rains it pours.
Hope to get a long run in tomorrow.

| 6am...17 miles in 2:12 on a cool morning. Started off with Curt and Lynette for 8 miles, then ran about 4 with Corwin then 3 with Marlin. I also saw Gray, Mauri and Bruce Peterson during the run. A really good tiime with friends. My left hammy was tight the entire the run and energy was low but it was good to get out. (Mirage)

| Went out for a training run with Justin after church and homework time. We ran easy to Community Park then did a race simulation for 1.6 miles (distance of the championship race this week). Afterwards talked about the run then easy back home with a few hard pickups. 5.5 miles total today, fun time and good connection with Justin. (Mirage)

| I went to the gym this morning to run on the TM while Kami was spinning. A good hardwork: 3-2-1-0.5M. Easy warm up then 3 miles (5:39, 5:30, 5:21), 2 miles (5:21, 5:13), 1 mile (4:57), 0.5M (4:36 pace). 0.5M recovery in between and 1 mile cooldown. Overall 10 miles in exactly 58 minutes. (Boost)

| Slept in and went out around 7am for a 12.5 mile run with Lynette. From our meeting spot through SRL and around the greenbelt. On the way home we ran by the store and ran with the folks at the group run (mostly with Gray) then headed home. Total time of 1:35...left hammy tight the whole time.

| No run this morning as I had to get to work early and I was a bit tired. Hope to get a run in at lunch or afterwork before evening activities kick in.
My father in-law went back into surgery today to get two more stents placed in his artery. Praying for a steady hand of the surgeon and a successful procedure that leads to some improved and long life for him. Dad did great and the surgery was a success.
No run today, too busy at lunch and after work.
Learned a bit more about coaching kids tonight. Saw an example of how not to coach and motivate kids (despite other non engaged parents singing praises). I have not in the past, don't now and won't in the future try to motivate kids like the example I saw.

Tired after a long day at work yesterday, but it was a VERY good day. Proud of my team at work as a couple of Senate staffers left our meeting indicating that we set a new standard. More visits today and they left very impressed and all of us very happy.
