Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Slept in and went out a bit later on a nice morning...warmer, calm and some cool fog. 5 miles easy along Sunnyside with Moxie.  (Ride 3 2015)

Kami and I went out for a ride after breakfast.  40 miles to Shelley then out to Blackhawk estates then home.  Felt great for the first 25 miles averaging about 21 mph, knee started to twinge around 28, starting to tire at 30, bonked at 35 miles.  Made it home and had pizza and beer, now doing better.

My family from Boise was over for dinner last night and we stayed up late so I slept in.  Moxie and I went out fo 7.35 miles from home around the southern SRL loop.  Easy (7:30ish pace), saw a few runners out. (Launch 2)

Got home and had some breakfast then went out for a 24 mile bike ride with Kami.  Right knee was sore/twingy on the ride (did not bother me on the run).  Beautiful morning to be outside!

I was really tired and my glutes was aching, so I slept in a bit and did some stretching instead of going out for the early morning run.  I will try to make up the mileage later today.

9 miles in 1:08 on a beautiful day for a run.  6.25 miles with DanS, then a couple more laps+ around the park.  Still a bit tired and sore so easy pace.  (Mirage Red)

I slept in this morning and helped get the kids off to school.  Then Kami and I went for a great bike ride in the awesome weather.  Just shy of 40 miles in about 2:05.  Knee was noticable but not hurting.  Nice morning!

4 miles after school, 2 with Justin and Katelyn, 2 faster with Justin.  (Boost)

6:30am...I met Gray. Rex and Kayla on a spectactular morning at the bottom of Blackhawk estates for a repeat of the hill run that we did last week.  Gray turned around at the top and we kept going to finish off 14 miles in 1:43.  Really good run, knee twinge about mile 10.  Brought water and fuel this time so I felt much better.  (Launch 2)

Got home and ran 3 miles in the neighborhood with Justin and Katelyn.  (Boost)

Spent time outside with Katelyn (throwing the baseball) and Justin and the boys (playing football!).
