Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

No run today.  We are in West Yellowstone taking a snowcoach tour into Yellowstone National Park to Old Faithful and back.  Beautiful park in the winter and nice to not have hundreds of thousands of other tourist to compete with.  Cold and snowy though.  Lots of wildlife (bison, elk, coyotes, swans).

No run today.  My entire family is fighting off a nasty cold for the past 3-4 days.  Then normal 2 hour drive back home took 4 hours as we had to wait to have a semitrailer pulled out of a ditch just outside of West Yellowstone (2 hour delay).  Once down the hill to Ashton the roads were clear.

Once home, spent the day just taking it easy as we were all still sick. Hope this gets over with quickly.

Still sick this morning so I skipped the run. Maybe after work (just to shake out the cobwebs in nothing else).

Got up to run and still had the lingering effects of this cold (headache, body ache, cough) so another off day.  Not a good week this week.

Getting antsy so I went for a run in pretty nice weather (windy) after work.  5 miles in the neighborhood...felt good but ran easy. (Guide 7)

5 slow miles at lunch.  Warm but more wind. GI issues. Shoes need to be retired. (Ride 5)

Got Kami loaded up and off to Moab for a girl's biking weekend, took the kids to school and dropped off the car at the shop then I ran home.  Weaved through all the numbered streets then a loop through the neighborhood for 9/25 miles.  Overdressed as I expected rain but only got hot the last 2 miles or so.  (Guide Blue)

3.25 miles with the kids and Moxie after school.  Retired two pairs of shoes and broke open a new pair. (Supernova)

5am...met Curt and Alana for a run.  7 miles easy.  Got home and grabbed Moxie to head out for 5 more miles on a calm and coolish morning...but with an amazing full moom!  A short break then back out with the kids on a beautiful morning for 5 more miles.  Longest day since the beginning of November! (Supernova)
