Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

1:30pm...10K after church on a beautiful afternoon...55 degrees, sunny with  a light breeze.  Nice easy run to SRL and back slow to keep up the recovery and to just enjoy the weather!  (Mirage Red 2015)

A bit tired and tight this morning, so I focused on rehab exercises, stretching and foam rolling this morning.  I will run later today.

10K so slow that I can barely call it running.  Warmish but windy, overdressed by the end of the run.  (Ride 3 2013)

Horrible sleep night last night (brain turned on at 2am thinking about HS training/running with Justin and his buds...didn't ever really get back to sleep).  Skipped morning run and instead stretched, rehab exercises and foam rolled.  Run at lunch and after work with kids.

6.5 miles on a beautiful day at lunch.  First run in a while where things are really feeling better.  5 miles at 7:30-7:45 pace, the last 1.5 miles were slower to not push my hammy/glute too much too fast. Overall a great run, everything feels really good afterwards.  Total time of 50:40. (Ride 3 2013)

Went to community park as a family.  Ran 2 miles or so with Justin and Katelyn then Justin and I ran 2 more while Katelyn walked with Kami enjoying the nice weather.  (Mirage Red 2015)

4:45am...1.5 miles before meeting Curt, Alana and Sarah.  Ran together to SRL and back (ran into Marlin) for about 7 miles.  Cooler morning but good run.  (Ride 3 2015)

Full morning of breakfast with a friend, PT, work call then lunch date with Kami.  After a quick nap (yeah!) out for a short run through the neighborhood with Moxie...shorts and shirtless (yeah again!  sorry for the paleness it is winter in Idaho). (Mirage Red 2015)
