"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Are you doing either of the winter series runs? I thought about doing Striders but since I waited too long for Ogden and it is now closed I'm not sure about making the drive up for training runs...

Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your weekend.

Nice run, JD, you are keeping up your mileage nicely! I am seriously thinking about your Goblin Valley Ultra. One of my favorite places in the US.

Adam - no I've yet to try that, maybe next winter. Too bad about Ogden. What have you got in mind for a Spring marathon? Happy T-Day to you and your family as well.

Thanks Bonnie. Treadmills are great, but I became too dependent on mine last winter for sure.

Thanks Auntiem - hope to keep up the miles this winter! You're going to be rockin' a triathlon soon aren't you?

Yes! Come run Goblin Valley next year. Maybe we could get a blogger campground going!

April - no boo. JD's gotta keep buying running shoes!
