Keep the effort above aerobic threshold so that the effort was "could push on for a few more miles." Mostly hung out in the mid- to low-6:30s with a faster mile at 6:14 on the end.
I'm not really sure what my approach should be for flat ultra training. Presumably similar to marathon training with longer long runs and slightly slower, but longer tempos. I'll also alternate in some progression runs like the ones I have been doing so I get into the LT zone.
