Our application went through on a townhouse lease, which is good. You know you've been living in apartments for too long (about 12 years now I guess) when in-unit washer/dryer and stairs get you excited. The upfront cost was drastically reduced with Megan's job. We saved $400-500 with that.

The last time I was in Michigan they were giving houses away. The SUV in the driveway would set you back more than the house.

Were you born in Michigan? I thought you were from South Carolina as I incorrectly told Megan but I guess you spent some time there and Florida too?

Wyandotte Michigan Jason. Moved to California when I was 3, Florida when I was 13, went to college in South Carolina and stayed quite a while there. Wife is from Minnesota so lived there a year and a half after we got married.

The Murphy's are from a town called Bad Axe in Huron County by way of Ontario and Ireland. Matter of fact, if you're ever up in Bad Axe (tip of the thumb), be sure to drop by Murphy's Bakery for a donut. It's legendary. My grandpa moved to Wyandotte and taught physics for 35 years at Roosevelt High School
