AM: 12 miles, averaged 7:35 w/ 3 x 10 minutes (3:00 recovery jogs)

Warmed up 30 minutes to Forbidden Drive and went straight into the workout

I forgot to turn off my auto lap so the workout looks like a game of miles and kilometers

6:17/3:42 (6:17, 5:55)

6:03/3:56 (6:03, 6:15)

6:15/3:43 (6:15, 5:58)

Overall averaged ~6:10

25 minute cool down

Not really pleased with this one, but I'll keep working on getting a good workout. For a long time I rarely missed. This is about 10 seconds slower than estimated LT. Still feeling a bit sluggish but better today.

PM: Neighborhood - 4.5 miles, averaged 8:08. I told grumpy Jason he could no longer run with me. Nice shakeout. Helped that the weather is cool and dry, but still warm enough to be comfortable.

Sometimes you just have to go through the motions for awhile and put in the efforts. Then one day, it just comes around and you'll be nailing 90% of the workouts again.

Could be a number of things, and I'm no expert. What I do know is that you got some solid hard miles in. Nice work!

I'm blaming it on heavy tree cover :-). I was running 3 x 2 miles at 6:00-6:20 back in early June!

But you are both right. Effort was there and I got in close to 5 threshold rather than 3 in the crappy summer heat and humidity.
