Lunch: 6.5 miles trails/roads. Did a few strides and 6 hill sprints to work on my strength for B2B. About 10 seconds each for now. I'll increase the length and number each week.

85-88 and the temp is climing. I guess it's that time of year, but getting in workouts is near impossible for me. Scheduled for 6 x 1 mile at 10k pace tomorrow but the low is 72 (and I won't get out early). Just got to push I guesss.

PM: 6.25 miles. HR 152. Just under 9:00 pace and it felt fairly moderate. It was 91 with a dew point of 69 but low humidity strangely and a decent breeze. I was going to drive to the track and do some 200s to test my spikes but I got plenty of work in today.

i cannot get used to the lack of overnight cool down/air refreshment -- utah is so good at that, even in the middle of summer.

i think i have ATL figured out now: 6am morning soup, 12pm searing sun, 6pm afternoon soup and risk of t-storm death. repeat.

good luck with your workout tomorrow. my schedule says 800s/400s and i'm trying not to think about it.

Part of the problem is the need to lower expectations, which sounds so strange and wimpy but I remember being very frustrated last summer and not getting though workouts.

I just checked your weather, which is fairly similar to here. Right now at least.

What's the workout? I'm always shopping around for ideas.

yes, i'm learning that. i was pretty frustrated with my 1200s last week, but the effort was there even though i'm not hitting times i expect.

workout is 4 x (800/200jog; 400/200jog)
