4th Street Hills - 11.25 miles, averaged 7:38. Did .5 mile pickup (6:36) coming up back up Union Street Hill .

Got a bit turned around and lost (somehow). Only managed 300 feet of gain and still lost 388, but I got a few hills in. Not enough of those in my training. One of my focus areas for this year.

But you live in Indiana. You can only focus so much on hills right?

I guess southern Indiana is hilly. But true. If you can get 300-400 feet of climb in this town you did okay. I'm thinking 1-2 runs a week with some hills will be helpful. My typical running routes are pretty flat.

My dad always says I live on the only hill in Indiana. I think the town is hilly compared to other places, but I was surprised by the hills in the marathon. Definitely different terrain in the northeast. Some day I'll venture west and see what real hills are like!
