AM: Courtland Tempo Loop - 10 miles w/ 3 mile LT tempo. Not a stellar workout, but I wasn't sure I could even make it through the warmup.

6:13 average: 6:09, 6:18, 6:13. It's frustrating to know I hit those paces at the end of 8 mile tempos this winter, but I am marking it here once again to remind myself to appreciate fitness when it's there and good workouts when we have them.

Need to get out the door at 7 or before. Today's weather was pretty decent though.

Appreciate it when it's there.. isn't that the truth.

Looks like you're making sure you get a pm run in today. :-)

If you don't appreciate it when it's there, at least appreciate it when it's not when you look back when it was!

Even when I'm not doing doubles faithfully, workout days and race days are always double days. Likely more to come as workouts get harder. Probably 7/5 on recovery days. We shall see. I'm carrying some weight and it doesn't make me happy, so I may add in some more PM runs.

Those underperforming workouts that still hurt have always helped me get back. It shouldn't take too many more...

Thanks for the visualization of deep threshold. Now we just gotta come up with some DT workouts. 3 x 1 mile at 800m pace?

Sure. What's the rest? ~7 days?
