Last buildup I did 3-4 a week totaling 11-14 miles each day. I haven't been doing them because I wanted to get my mileage up to the point where I couldn't do much more without extending my recovery days over an hour. The last few days have been to contend with potential soreness (my hamstrings were a little bit tight, but not bad, considering).
Also, it has been too cold and dark to run in the morning :)
I have no doubt they helped me tremendously when I started doing them around August or July. I'm going to need them with more quality stuff this time around.
