I ran the most I have ever run before today. 13 miles! The workout Dad and I did was 1 mile at 5:30, 3 at 6:00, then 2 also at 6:00. The first mile was with William. He ran 5:47. Dad told him he needed to do another interval but he refused. Then me and Dad ran 3 miles up the canyon and started our 3 mile tempo. Chad ran the first mile with us then slower down. Dad and I ran 17:51. My legs hurt but I pushed through it and kept running. Then we ran 2 miles back up and ran our 2 mile tempo. I was feeling surprisingly good. I pushed the pace little. We ran 5:47 for the first mile. Dad told me to take off and see what I could do. I ran 83, 81 for the first 800. A mountain view high runner joined me for the last 800. I was able to run 5:31 for the last mile and got 11:17 overall. I was so tired afterwards. Dad ran 11:34. This was a good workout in preparation for the half marathon. |
