| July started off hot, 95 with h.i. around 100, hit the greenbelt trail for 6, started a decent clip, then tried to get some threshold in but after .5 i realized the pace wasn't sustainable in this heat. Just too hot for anything faster than GMP. middle 4k was covered in 16:38, 6:39 pace, then hit my .5 tempo at 3:04, nothing super. Overall, 40:43 for the 6 miles, 6:47 avg pace for the day. |

| 8 tonight after work, pretty hot and humid still, probably near 100 h.i. even at 8:30. pretty even splits, last 2 miles i picked it up a touch, closing the final 2 miles in 13:41, 6:50.5 avg pace. 56:12, 7:01.5 avg pace for the run. Felt pretty good all things considered, hammy felt pretty smooth tonight. 6xstrides after. |

| 5 mentally tough miles today, h.i. in the high 90s already by 10am, just woke up and ran, plus quick turnaround. fought through it though, and finished the run in 36:59, 7:24 avg pace |

| 7 tonight on the treadmill to stay out of the heat. did a 3 mile tempo at 6:00 pace, ended at 18:02 for the 3 miles, felt pretty decent, although the effort was harder than I thought it should be. |
