goal was 12 to make it bookend 14 and 12, ended up doing 14.2 and 12.5, so 26.7, kind of a hanson-brooks marathon training plan where I don't have the long runs but the back-to-back efforts. Today was very positive, pace felt pretty easy all things considered. 12.5 in 7:08 avg pace, strides, plus ice bath after

Are you training for a marathon? Hanson has some interesting ideas. I find the 16-mile long run kind of ridiculous unless you're running each one about 95-98% of marathon effort and even then it will likely burn you out.

Good run. I agree with Jason on the Hanson method...friends who have followed it have expressed issues with their results due to the lack of a true marathon training long run (20+) and the impact on their fitness for the marathon.

Good luck with the training. Good job on the recent races too!
