The best pace is suicide pace

Long run in the nice morning, parkway loop. A bit slower than we should've been at first, but picked it up with Ad and El and Sylvia later. Then Rylee fell and she was a beast and jumped up right after and kept running!! Tempo was good, ran towards green springs and flipped to fill in time. 80 min//9.5 mi

Afternoon run right after school on my own cause I have this ACT prep thing everyday this week and next week to go to so yay. 20 min/2.5 mi

15 early early run + weights//1.75 mi

Run in greensprings, 55 min/6 mi

20 min//2.3 mi

Great workout at the dirt mile. Did 5 striders then workout; 2x4:30, 2x2:30, 1:15. It was awesome cause we always had at least 5 girls in the front pack! But there's so much room for a bigger pack next time. Loved everyone's pushing, and Addi's stood out to me, she is always workin it. 65 min//7.5 mi

Learned from today: DRINK LOTS OF WATER

Weights + 15 min run//1.75 mi

Did a kinda u-shaped run towards Arctic circle, but turned through the underpass and ran to the hidden park in Middleton and back. Good run with good people. 45 min//5.5 mi

Ran with Mayc, she's amazing. 20 min//2.3 mi

Ran with Ellie at every stop light to get our minutes in cause we both needed to be places. Roberts told me something that stuck; when we run faster/better when it hurts or it's tiring, we gain confidence!! We flipped before the others, then did 6 striders on the field. Hard run for me, slacking on sleep. 55 min//6.4 mi

Race day at the SUU course!! First off JV girls did awesome!! So proud of all of them and how hard they worked, even if it meant running farther than planned haha. We warmed 15 and did 5 tempo. Got off in a good spot by Ry, starting in the top 10. First thought and last thought in my head for the race was finish. Coach's comment to finish felt implanted in my brain. Big difference from Ceder cause I kept pushing when Ellie got up to me. We worked together the last half of the last lap. Finished strong, like the rest of the girls! Pr'd by 18 sec from Ceder cause I pushed with the team as we packed like a fist!! Also loved our team talk afterwards, those will bring us together. 50 min//6.5 mi
