AM - 7.5 Twix/Sunrise.  Nice morning run.  Getting back to the routine of the morning.  Will test the achilles a little with an afternoon double today.  I am greatful for Sundays and the opportunity to be busy doing and thinking about other things.  This morning, my mind went right back to State - I think it will haunt me for awhile.  Some people have told me that I need to let it go, and I guess in time the memories will fade.  But all I want is answers.  I am not trying to change anything, stir any pots or anything else.  I believe my girls and our team deserves answers to what took place.  And no one can give us any answers without just implying that we are being poor losers.  I am not sure how we are the poor losers when we are the ones that broke no rules (even if the rules were broken unintentially).  The others were allowed to voice their opinions and weren't called poor losers when they got their appeals granted.  I just want to know why the appeals were granted... simple answers.  (Kinvara blue 289)

afternoon - 11 River Trail. First double in a while. Good run, but I was tired. A bit warm today for end of Nov, but don't mind the sun on my pasty white body. Ended with 8xbarefoot striders. (Barefoot '15 79.75)(Pace 159.25)

This is an interesting post. Hopefully you blogged more about this before. Please point me to that post :)

Well... I haven't really said much because I am trying to take a "higher" road, but I am getting very frustrated at the lack of answers toward this event; so I'll say a little bit.

At State, 4 girls were dq'ed by 2 different course umpires (3 at 1 corner and 1 at another corner) for cutting the course. Unfortunately, although our girls ran the best they could that day, it was our worst race of the season and we ended up placing 2nd by 1 point. On the first dq we were then pushed to the win by quite a bit. Then those girls were reinstated and the other girl dq'ed. On this one we still won by a tie-breaker. Then that girl was reinstated 3 hours after the race. Then our appeal was denied. So we feel that our appeal wasn't fairly heard. So we are looking for answers to why that happened.

Wow that's crazy. I was actually under the impression you guys (I mean, girls) won. I saw something on facebook giving me that impression on Wednesday afternoon and never looked at the final results.

Its a shame that you aren't being given a full explanation. The girls deserve that.

That roller coaster of emotions is not a fun one to ride.
