AM - 10.5 morning practice: AC, 2450 extended, Green Springs. Although not good to have to get up, it was very nice to be running this morning. Had fun runs with the team. (Cumulus silver 460.65)

Goals for the week: Get a solid week's mileage in - don't want to put a number on it, yet. Just want to run good mileage and let my body finish its recovery. BYU this week which will probably throw off my mileage a little bit, but that's okay. Be more positive in all aspects of my life, including running.

afternoon - 14x400's. Did a 1 mile warmup as the team did their 2 miler. Then hit the track with them. I wanted to help them be more consistent and hit the times they needed, but I knew I would be a little behind the top group; and mostly I wanted to survive! Did 3 sets of 4 with 1 minute jog between rep and full recovery between sets (but while the group was doing recovery, I was running with the girls) 1-1:12, 2-1:12, 3-1:12, 4-1:10 5-1:24(w/ Ashley), 6-1:11, 7-1:13, 8-1:13, 9-1:11, 10-1:25(w/ Ashley), 11-1:12, 12-1:12, 13-1:18 (I pretty much begged Ruth to have me run these two with her to cover how dead I was, and she still pushed me!), 14-1:14. Ended with 1.5 cooldown. This was a workout! I about lost it (my lunch) a time or two. These kids are getting pretty dang good. They'll be schooling the old man in races soon enough. (Cumulus blue 160)

I think it is good to suck every once in a while, it reminds us that we are only human and teaches us patience which we need in a marathon. Although it really sucks when it is in a marathon. But if it is any conciliation

I don't think you suck.

"My shorts are especially golden today"... Mik'L made us watch that movie last night and it was HORRIBLE!

HORRIBLE?! You couldn't even enjoy the x-country tie in (albeit brief and pointless!)? I wouldn't watch it again, but I enjoyed it enough.

Good speed workout. That is just what you needed to get the legs going. Way to hammer out all of them.

Me push you? Funny joke, Holt.
