Lauri paced me well and I ran pretty well, but was somewhat disappointed in the time. (We were hoping to break  34 minutes). I would say the two main factors for the slow time were 1) the huge crowd. It was really hard to find much running space. 2) My training track is a bit shorter than a 5K so I  had overly high expectations.

Anyway, it's still a PR for a 5K. I'll try a little different strategy for the next 5k (may 17 running with angels at Thanksgiving point) I've got a lot of work to do to get under 30 minutes.

Couldn't complain about the finish line free food and give-away booths. Very fun finishing at the Gateway.

Congratulations on a 5K PR! The crowds at the start and the uphill stretch on the backside make it kind of tough to get a good time, but it's kind of fun nonetheless. I ran with my eleven year old daughter and we finished just a couple of minutes behind you.

Great job on your 5K PR! The first of many!

Good job!! Yeah, that 5-k always has the best food after the run! My daughter thought she was in heaven after she ran/walked that her first time! She's done it 3 times now!
