Pleasant 4.5 mile evening run around my neighborhood. Nice change of pace from the usual 3 mile lunchtime run around Lake Park. I have very few allergies so I love sweet springtime fragrances.

Buggered my shoulder playing kickball with the scouts. I hope it gets better quick.

Nice run! That's a really good distance for a midweek run! Did you like the cooler weather in the evening?

From Hildisvini on Wed, May 28, 2008 at 12:31:22

Cool weather was great. Last night I was enjoying a cool canyon breeze as well. The run felt good so I just kept going. I'll be exercising lightly for the rest of the week to store up for the bridal veil 10K.

Nice to see you blogging again!

I've never done a 10k, I kind of skipped that one as I jumped from Moab 5 miles to the half marathon, but remember who I am married to. Good luck on your race, I'll be watching for your results.

I predict 1:11:30 :)

That's right, you have a race this weekend! I hope it goes well. I ate a lot of strawberries today. I hope I have some left to make jam. ;-)

Mmmm, strawberries are so good.

If I come anywhere near Laurie's prediction, I'll be quite pleased. Shoulder and hip are still stiff but better since yesterday.

Marie, Tracy, Bill and I are doing the Summer Games (June 13th and 14th). You are welcome to come down--although I know you have a race in Provo on the 14th. Most of the running group is doing the Heart of Holladay 5k that day.

I am learning that there are certain races which are more popular than others. Seems no one wants to do much uphill racing like the bridal veil. Or is it fear of entering my happy valley?

I loved that Summer Games course. Maybe I'll try it again next year.
