Nice little square, flat run. I think I PRed by a few seconds. It was fun to run with a bunch of neighbors and family.

I did something I don't normally do. I ran about 1 1/2 miles to the start to get warmed up. But I can't tell if it made any difference. I had planned to run another few miles afterward. But no, my body said "NO!"

 * Pretty nice Tech Shirt for only a $10 entry fee.

Way to warm up before the race! It seems to loosen me up a little bit when I do that. That's cool they gave out tech shirts this year. Are you getting excited for the Provo Half? I unfortunately am working that day, so I want to hang around to see people finish, but I'll see how tired I'm feeling!

Yeah, you probably won't be able to hang long enough to see me finish. I'm pretty worried about the Provo 1/2. Every race I've done this year seems to make my hip a little sorer. So I'm not even sure I can finish that race.

But darn it, I'll try. I was hoping for some strong pain killer from the Oral Surgeon last week, which would have helped me at Provo (just kidding) but he was too stingy with the meds. So Ibuprofen will have to do.

With all that whining almost done, I'm exited about the Provo 1/2 -- my first 1/2 ever. Everyone runs with a few aches and pains, right? That's what medical tents are for.

Thats awesome on the 5-k and warming up before! It's normal to get nervous before an event you've never done before, I get nervous consistently!

I'm excited to do Hobblecreek 1/2 this year, but will miss you all in Provo!

Have a great time, k?
