DeseretNews 10K. Time: 1:09, just over 11 minutes per mile. I'm really happy with that time, even though I didn't achieve my 10K goal. It is about a 10 minute improvement over last year. Yeah! So in an attempt to avoid complacency I will say that cutting 10 more minutes off for next year should be easily within reach.
I ran with 3 friends from work: Ben, Smeagol and Steve. They all liked the race and seemed to be looking forward to running it again next year. I saw Christina and a couple of her running friends Jodi and Char (sp?) They also seemed happy with their times. DesNews 10K is a great race. Good treats at the end and so fun to watch the Marathoners come in. Running conditions were much better than last year (less humidity). |
