pm: 5.25- today we did prefontaine's 200 workout of running (edited to our pace) run 200 meters at 33's then cool down 200 meters at 43's. then after you don't hit your time twice on either paces you have to stop the workout... i did 5, which isn't that many but this workout surprised me on how hard it was. but i really did feel that good today, just really tight. it took about 20 to get back to feeling alright and not breathing hard. REALLY hot. | Add Comment |

pm: 7 with striders. way hot. we ran around the desert a bit by desert hills. i had a cut on my finger that got a lot of sweat on it so it was burning the whole run.
my right shin hurt a lot today so i didn't join the other kids in pacing our jv team in the mile. i've been icing it a lot though. all i need to do is hold it off for one more month. | Add Comment |

i felt rather week before the race... not enough warm up :(
but i had the fastest time coming in so i was able to line up first which was really cool :) tyson was sure jealous. race went rather bad. mile split was 4:55 then 5:12. not very good. one of my laps was 1:22 which is very bad from where i should be.
i ran the steeple chase as well for my first time. I loved it, it was very fun and i got a new school record on it. i did this race more for fun so i could be fresh for tomorrows mile and was doing tricks on the water part.. i'd say i was a crowd favorite. i got third in this event as well. | Add Comment |

tired for this race again.. this meet didn't go very well for me. i was ranked 4th into this and at the beginning i was in about 5 hitting the first lap in 1:07, right where i wanted. then the wind picked up pretty good and i moved into 4th. i stuck there for another lap then i made my move trying to catch up to the leaders but i didn't stick it and pretty much just cruised in the last lap for an easy 3rd. winner got a 4:31 so wind was pretty bad. but i was pretty disappointed about this weekends efforts. even though i got three shirts for getting 3rd every time..
goals for next week are to nail every workout perfect, roll, strech, and be ready to nail BYU and get my sub 4:30! | Add Comment |
