Short-Term Running Goals: -Find some good local races to run that will motivate me to stay in shape. Long-Term Running Goals: -Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list.
-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.
Personal: I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in the Twin Cities with my family and am an Epidemiology PhD Student. Running is the only hobby I have time for :) |

| | 6:51 pace on west river road around 11 am after the car appt. Coldest run this year, windchill just around 0. Felt ok though actually.

| | Famers fields. About 7 flat pace. 8 degrees at the start for my coldest run of the season. Didn't feel too bad though.

| | It's been a long few days with sickness and other stuff. So I had a hard time enjoying my run (7 flat pace, east river flats). It feels like it may be time to retire the Hokas as my body is feeling not great (i.e., knees) wearing them, though that could be other things.

| | 6:51 pace, Como classic. For being around 20 degrees when I left at 9:00 and after another bad night with sick girls, this was actually a really nice run. I wasn't cold, wasn't tired, wasn't hurting, etc. Surprisingly, I saw two people out on the lake, which I am surprised was frozen at all. I wasn't going to do what they were doing, but I did decide to for the first time ever stand on the lake, just barely in the shallows.

| | 5:56 pace coming back (similar pace going out except the beginning) from Resevoir Woods all the way around the Alexander nature center. At Res Woods, I saw people playing hockey on a lake. Wow. Hard run. Nice outside though.
