Short-Term Running Goals: -Find some good local races to run that will motivate me to stay in shape. Long-Term Running Goals: -Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list.
-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.
Personal: I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in the Twin Cities with my family and am an Epidemiology PhD Student. Running is the only hobby I have time for :) |

| | 5 mile tempo. Went into it thinking it was going to be "SO EASY" and it wasn't. But there's no denying I felt fresher after a 5 mile tempo than an 8 mile one. 5:19, 5:24, 5:13, 5:05, 5:10 according to the borrowed watch I was using. Supposed to be 5:30, 5:30, 5:20, 5:20, 5:10.

Big 10 XC Champs (5.2 Miles) 00:25:54, Place overall: 41 | | Started in the back like normal. Didn't pass very aggressively and didn't work my way up as much as I needed to. Teammates went 20-21-22 a whole 30 seconds ahead of me. This has been a tough XC season for me. Sometimes that happens after I have a breakout. Just a not-the-best season (a la fall 2013, fall 2019). But I don't want to roll over! Nuttycombe week I felt good and ran well. This week I felt kind of tired and ran poorly (my workouts weren't way better either). I really want to be there for my team in two weeks in Iowa. Team ran well though, Wisconsin cleaned our clocks but as I predicted we narrowly lost to Michigan, 79-83 for 3rd and were well clear of 4th place. Girls won a tight battle for the title which is great, they deserve it. For various reasons we were outside for 2 hours after the race in pouring rain and I was FREEZING.
