Short-Term Running Goals: -Qualify for the 2024 Olympic marathon trials Long-Term Running Goals: -Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list. An Olympic Trials qualifier would be amazing.
-Break stroller records?
-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.
Personal: I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served a mission in Rome, Italy from 2015 to 2017. I eat a whole food, plant-based diet, which I believe helps my running. I like chocolate shakes on sunday nights and I will always call the Pacific northwest home. |

| | It was just me and Josh at the workout this morning. It was cold when we started but thankfully the sun came up quickly. Just 4 by 2. It’s really hard to tell with 200s how well you did. I didn’t run anything scorching fast, but not was it a dead out sprint effort either. 27, 27, 26, 27.

Farm Team Time Trial (0.5 Miles) 00:01:55, Place overall: 1 | | And that's a wrap to the season. Ran a 1:55.6 in the 800 at our time trial. Went through halfway in 55. I was bummed to see that only converted to a 1:55.1 at sea level. With competition and a better track maybe I have a 1:53 in me but probably no faster than that. Now it's time for XC TRAINING!!!!!! I'm kind of excited because even though your improvement is still out of your hands, I feel like there is more you can do to influence how good you will be in distance running than in mile/800 stuff. I don't think I will be breaking 1:47 anytime soon, but running a 13:45 5K next year? I can see that.

| | 10 miles, left Achilles actually itched a bit. That’s not good. It shouldn’t be happening with this little impact, hopefully it goes away. I can’t wait to start running more. I just don’t have that awesome feeling you get after running 17 miles on a Saturday morning, you know?

| | Starting to run a little longer. Nice warm evening on the river trail. I ran twice by a very friendly guy. Some people don’t like talking or acknowledging you whatsoever, but I need to still be friendly because it means a lot to some of us! Still a little scratchy in the Achilles.

| | Nice run with josh. The sun was already up. We ran to Murdock canal trail. I got tired on the way back, maybe because I’m not used to this much mileage in 24 hours (having run yesterday afternoon) and maybe because I was dehydrated. Felt good other than that though. 6:30s.
