3 x USA team member Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to run an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon.
I would also like to run on one more international team before I pack it in!
Stay healthy! (My biggest challenge!) Long-Term Running Goals: Run my whole life, and then live vicariously through my children. (just kidding) , but I do want to pass on a healthy lifestyle to them.
Help coach East High to a state championship. (hope it doesn't take a lifetime!) Personal: I've been running since I was nine. I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me. We have two children: Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.) I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School. |

| Four days in a row? Watch out now! Solo run. 40 degrees felt nice. I told a friend that I would pace him to a sub-20 minute 5k at the end of June. So, I had better get somewhat fit.

| Easy run with Cole. He's doing a two mile time trial tomorrow.
I was planning on a 10-12 miler tomorrow. However, I am getting my second COVID shot today, so it's dependent on how my body reacts. But, 5 straight days of running is a decent start for the month.

| I was so sick from the Moderna shot on Saturday, which I expected. So, no run. Six with Cole today. He ran a 10:31 two mile time trial with his dad on Saturday. That is a nine second PR. I think he has 10:20 or better in him. He was running in a pretty fierce wind and had a nasty cold. It's fun to see him improve. We have slowly built his training up. He's only doing 40 a week. A tempo, a speed, and an 8 mile long run. He hits high school next year. I can't wait to see how he does.
