Big Workout #16 5x1000m @ CV pace This was a great workout for me. I did this workout on August 28th and struggled a little mainly due to the heat, so I was ready to redeem myself tonight with cooler temperatures in the forecast. I also wanted to compete against my times from last year this same week, about 18 days out from the marathon. Did 2.5 mile warm-up 1-3:25 (5:25 pace) 3 seconds off my all-time PR and I was forcing myself to slow down, didn't want to run the first one too fast and not be able to complete the workout. 2-3:25 (5:25) Another good repeat 3-3:25 (5:25) Surprised it was the same time, it didn't feel that great 4-3:27 (5:30) Getting tired 5-3:25 (5:25) Refocused and pushed hard from the beginning. 2.5 mile cool-down 9-15-08 | 8-28-09 | 9-14-09 | 3:27 | 3:36
