Didn't set the alarm, so didn't have time for a very long run. I was only going to do 2 miles, but just took off and did the La Verkin 5K loop, basically still sleeping.

Stratus-140

Debated about running on the treadmill or outside in the heat. I went ahead had dinner (BBQ sandwich, which we'll talk about later) then waited around for an hour. Decided to head out around 8 and ran over the 600 North trail to the Sky Mountain Golf Course. I wasn't feel too great to start out with and I was a little worried about my dinner. Anyway, by mile 3 I had to stop and lose half of my sandwich. I felt better after I threw-up so I continued on. Half a mile later I had to stop again, this time I lost the rest of the sandwich. Luckily I was close to the golf course, so I got cleaned up, drank some water then started a 3 mile tempo

Sky Mountain Tempo- 18:01 (average 6:00)

1-6:15 running through the neighborhood, a little uphill

2-5:56 starting to feel pretty good, some decent downhill

3- 5:50 some good downhill at the start, then it evens out the last half.

I was pretty pleased with this effort. However, I think I can get this time down to 17:30 or lower with a little work.

My main goal was just to run between 6:15-6:25 pace, so I was quite a bit faster than that.

Did one mile cool-down, then Sunny picked me up at Brentwood Bowling Alley

Great job. gotto hate those regurgitated bar b que sandwhiches though. Been there done that. I'm looking for someone to run a 17 with me early friday morning. I'm thinking the Kayenta loop from my house around 5:30-6:00? Let me know.
