After 72 hours apply heat! and keep the compression wrap on except at night.

Heating pad works great!

From Dustin on Fri, Mar 28, 2008 at 10:38:18

Yeah I've been using some heat already. I'm just trying to decide if this is going to set me back enough, that I shouldn't do Ogden? I've thought some about the Teton Dam marathon in Rexburg in June, but I don't think it would be as fast or as competitive as Ogden.

what about the deseret News in july?

From Dustin on Fri, Mar 28, 2008 at 10:44:34

Yeah I've thought about that also. I guess that would give me a few more months to build a base, even though I really wanted to do a spring marathon. I guess running Desert News would still give you a few months to recover and be ready for St. George.

I really don't think this will take more then two weeks to heal. you will be running with your wife again by next thursday!

sorry to here about the injury/setback.hopefully you'll be able to resume training soon, but until then just look at it as a nice rest and recovery period. as you can see i am in a rest period myself as i haven't been able to get manyruns in. too busy with work and family.
