Difficult morning.  I was playing basketball this morning and I was going up for a rebound and felt a pop and immediate pain in my left calf muscle.  I'm worried I tore a muscle or did some damage, it was very painful trying to walk to my car and I've been in slow gear all morning now.  I know the comments that will be coming, because I've already got them from my wife.  "You shouldn't be playing basketball."  Anyway, hopefully this is nothing to major.  Bill I know you had some calf issues, what were the symptoms and remedies?

I had a very similar experience one time running behind Steve in the desert! I felt a pop in the calf. I would recommend you ice it. Then call April to work it out! I used a compression wrap on it for a week. (ACE Bandage) to stablelize it. If you over stretch it you will just aggravate the injury. I would do some calf stretches several times a day

Symptoms. Felt like my calf muscle rolled up on me. Had a sharp pain. injury takes a couple of weeks to heal. but you can run on it as long as you use a compression wrap.

Well, the remedy, of course, is no basketball for a while. Good thing about non-running external impact injuries is that they usually heel very fast.

Pops are never good. Hope you get this worked out soon.
