Another busy day, but did manage to have a good workout tonight even though my legs felt tired and sore, I decided to push through a hill workout and figured I would try to make my body learn to work a little harder especially when I'm tired. I know that is probably not the best thing to do and a good way to get injured, but I felt pretty safe in what I was doing tonight.

Anyway I started with 2 miles easy warm-up then did 6xPah Tempe hill repeats. Three weeks ago I did 5 repeats and managed decent times. Comparing today, with last week I would say this was a better workout because.

1. I did one more repeat

2. I was still tired from the 10K race on Saturday

3. I was under a little more stress this week compared to a few weeks ago

4. Had to deal with a headwind (imagine that in Hurricane, UT), which slowed me down some.

1-2:17 not too pleased with this first repeat, a little slower than I thought it would be.

2-2:13 picked it up

3-2:14 not feeling very good, but tried to make myself feel better by telling myself I was half way done.

4-2:12 This one felt the best out of all the repeats and I was tempted to stop after this, which would have left me feeling satisfied and happy at the moment, but probably guilty later on

5-2:15 I didn't look at my watch much on this repeat, but I figured I would be right at 2:15 and I was.

Gave myself a little extra rest and started coughing a lot, but didn't throw-up, almost but no good stories to share

6- 2:12 Good solid repeat to finish with and now very happy to be done.

Did an easy two mile jog home. A half mile into my cool down I ran into my wife, so that was nice she came out to jog home with me. She ran two miles this morning and another 1.5 tonight.

I'm almost tempted to just set up a blog for her. She has been running quite a bit more lately which is good.
