Played a few games of basketball this morning. Planning on a track workout this evening after driver's ed.

Really good workout tonight. I've tried a few times to do some 1000m repeats but have not been able to do much of a workout, due to either feeling sick or dealing with bad weather. This afternoon, I felt really good and decided before hand that I wanted to do 6 repeats no matter how slow I had to run them.

It was kind of nice, I decided not to do driver's ed tonight, so I got home a little earlier and then did a 2.5 mile warm-up over to Hurricane High School. The high school track team was still practicing, but Coach Prince said it wasn't a problem at all if I wanted to do my workout, so that was nice, except for having to dodge kids standing and visiting in lane 1, plus had to watch out for high school kids learning how to throw the javelin.

Anyway got started and the first three repeats felt great, 4th one not too bad, but the 5th was kind of a struggle. I was ready to stop after 5, but I just decided to give myself a little more recovery and then really tried to push it on the last one. I was really pleased with the consistency of the repeats and I was right in time zone I was shooting for 3:33-3:38. I did 100 m recovery between each which was about 1:30.

Did two more lap to finish to make it 5 miles on the track, then a very easy 2.5 miles home. Good start to the week and one big workout in the bag.

I felt pretty good saturday. a little tired at the end from dehydration. For some reason i was breathing hard at the end.

Bull, you were breathing hard because you were running like the Concord jet!

Dustin, what type of track workout are you doing tonight?

Oh yeah, I spit soda out my nose several times laughing at those st. george guys. The best was on our first break when Clyde wanted someone to give him a massage and I told the van full of girls next to us to help him out and one of the girls walked over to him and acted like she was going to do it! Very funny!

Hey thanks for all your comments on my blog, I havent had great access to the computer lately so I have been bad about responding. Yes I am planning on just having fun at Moab and not stressing about my time, my leg feels pretty good now but I am lacking speed. It will be a run where I just see how I feel, who knows I may just run the whole thing with my friends and be a "social runner" that day:)
