1.5 hours of basketball this morning, feeling a little tired now. Did a 6 mile run tonight, Sunny dropped me off at the Chevron and I ran out to my school 2 miles easy, copied a bunch of papers for next week when classes start back up then I did 4 miles pretty easy home 7:30 average.

Had a guy come give us an estimate for a swimming pool today. We are now thinking of not selling our house and not building, maybe just stay put. Build a pool, do some remodeling inside, and put in a nice basketball court with a breakaway rim. I used to spend hours shooting baskets when I was younger, but never really had that nice of a court. I guess now since I'm the parent I might build the court I always wanted as a kid. Actually, I don't want that to sound like I'm complaining, my parents were awesome and I have great memories of growing up.

Dustin, good job on your running this past week. Glad you are starting to feel better. You are running some fast miles, Spectrum could be real good for you!

From Dustin on Wed, Mar 12, 2008 at 12:34:49

I'm starting to feel in a little better shape. I'm interested to see how the Spectrum race will turn out. I'm planning on doing a 3 to 4 mile tempo run this afternoon, then easy tomorrow and Friday. I was going to do the tempo yesterday, but just decided to go for an easy trail run.

Dustin - From someone who has a pool, it is the best investment you can make in family time. Our kids cannot swim with out us and so from May - September we are swimming (family time) a min of 3 hrs a day 6 days a week. It is the best!!

Dustin your getting stronger in your running. That would be cool to have a basketball court at your house, and swimming pool. You definitely would build equity in your home. Keep up the great running and cross-training.

If you build it...Bill will come!

From Dustin on Wed, Mar 12, 2008 at 22:01:49

Clyde that is what I fear most Bill in a swimming suit. No even the Wildbull would be welcome, just not when the kids are around.
